New Tools
Two new tools, one re-introduces practice, and a new way of doing things that have made my life “better”.Â
The first the BlackBerry Pearl. I had my first blackberry the first day the arrived in Canada on the Rogers network. I have tried them all and I must say that the Pearl is by far my favorite. They keys are not as small as they appear and the accuracy of the SureType is commendable.
I have also begun to use EverNote. www.evernote.com. The basic version is free and from what I can see it provides all functionality I would find in Microsoft OneNote. This in concuction with google Notepad has gone a long way in organizing my thoughts, research, and notes. Indeed, I usually start my blogs in this tool and then transfer it to my website at a later time.Â
I have begun using my Wacom (www.wacom.com) again. I originally bought this for the retouching of my digital photos but it morphed into a tool I used for brainstorming architectues. I hadn’t used it since I started at my new company but I decided to dust it off and use it in conjunction with everNote (yes evernote supports pen tablets)
Lastly, I am officially weaned from J-Edit and a fulltime user of UltraEdit. I have my co-worker Emrah Alpa to thank for this one. I still find mysef slipping into the handy notepad.exe on occasion but for the most part Ultraedit mets all my needs in a compact footprint.
So for the good or bad I am once again connected 24 x7 I have also
