The Beginning
What better place to start then with the book that made me believe that I.T. was about more than technology. To this day, I don’t know what made me pick up this book but what I can say is — random reading can definitely be life altering.

Now, I don’t necessarily subscribe to everything that is in this book and I have definitely “outgrown” the Zachman Framework but the data centric approach this book presents is still with me today as are many of the checklists, program outline, and other such items. My Enterprise Architect library has grown to include dozens of books but I always come back to this one partly for the purposes of reminiscing but mostly because the coherent understanding of architecture presented in its pages still outshine most current books I read. Customers, friends, and family often ask me me what I do, what I believe, and/or what I aspire to attain in my career. When the person asking seems sincere, then I buy them a copy of this book and simply say nothing says it better.

Good to see that you are up and running. I will chack back on you from time to time.
