Using Ontology for Information Architecture

As of late, I have been focusing on the design aspect of information architecture.   So I thought I better get my hands dirty with technology before my technical skills or technical thought patterns start to atrophy.  As a result, I spent the weekend (at least some of it) looking for something wacky, wild, and mildly technical to learn.  Enter Protege

Protege

Now. . . I am not even going to pretend I am wise in the practice of Ontology.  But I must say, that an open source program such as Owl-Protege could prove very useful when I need an inexpensive but powerful way to build domain models for the many architecture standards I deal with on a daily basis.  Most importantly, it is built for the Semantic Web

First-up, a modified TOGAF or perhaps a sample CMDB.   Well, at least I will try to complete an ontology for each of these items.  Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
